About ÀRÒ

ÀRÒ was born from a story dyed in memory, family, and color.

Our founder, Gbemisola Okesanjo, grew up in Chicago, raised by a Lagos-born Yoruba mother whose hands spoke the language of color. Her mother learned the art of dyeing fabric from her grandmother, Ìyá Aláṣọ, who was known for turning plain cloth into beauty for her Aso Oke business.

Those memories—and the women behind them—inspired ÀRÒ, a brand made for colorful women.

In Yoruba, ÀRÒ means “dye.” To us, color isn’t just a shade—it’s a feeling, a voice, and a way to express who you are. Each collection celebrates boldness, individuality, and culture, blending Nigerian nostalgia with a modern, global flair.

We design for the confident woman who wears her mood out loud. Think of us as your closet’s new crayon box—bright, expressive, and full of stories.

Welcome to ÀRÒ, where every thread tells a story, and every color feels like home.
